National Underground Asset Register Webinar | Free for Members

As all land referencers know, getting information on statutory undertaker assets within the Order limits can be difficult and complex, and ultimately when it comes to delivery, not always correct, which can lead to scheme delivery and safety complications.

The Government has recognised that this is an issue to Project delivery and has spent the last few years seeking to develop the use case and now the beginning of a National Underground Asset Register – a digital map of underground pipes and cables in England, Wales and Northern Ireland. Clearly this could be revolutionary for this part of the land referencing process.
